Our range offers figure-flattering swimwear that does justice to the pin-up rockabilly look.
The retro swimwear by SugarShock is cut generously, as is typical of the 50s, and has a slightly concealing effect. The true-to-the-original 50s cuts skilfully accentuate curves and celebrate the female figure. Our swimwear convinces with classic and timeless elegance.
The bikini was invented in 1946, but was unable to establish itself in the fashion world in the first few years because it was considered scandalous. In 1953, Marilyn Monroe and Brigitte Bardot caused a sensation in a bikini. The swimming costume was only largely supplanted by the bikini towards the end of the 50s. At the end of the 60s, revealing, fancy bikini models were created to symbolically support women's self-realisation and emancipation. It was not until the 90s that swimming costumes revived.
